Rebecca Ellison, M.A.

Rebecca Weslie Ellison, M.A. is the Co-Founder of Taretok Child Prosperity, a Tanzanian-based nonprofit organization focused on early childhood education, economic development for women. She provides consulting support for monitoring and evaluation for nonprofit organizations. Along with her role as a full-time caregiver for a parent she is a certified Group Relations Consultant for the A.K Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems (AKRI), and member of The Washington-Baltimore Center for Group Relations (WBC). She is a member of the Local Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of Montgomery County Central, former Auxiliary Board Member for Maryland and Delaware, and former Regional Training Institute Board member for the Atlantic States. She believes that “soul” is rational and immortal and is the first to recognize the divine essence at the heart of all created things. As the soul represents such an important portal for learning she continues to integrate a soul framework into her many roles within secular and faith communities.

 

Mojgan Jahan, Psy.D.

Dr. Mojgan Jahan is a licensed clinical psychologist in practice in California and Texas. She is certified as a Stress Management and Resiliency Training (SMART) Healthcare provider by the Benson Henry Institute (Harvard Medical School/ Massachusetts General Hospital). She provides training on stress management and prevention of burnout. Dr. Jahan specializes in treating trauma, depression, anxiety, and chronic illness. She is particularly drawn to mindfulness and compassion-based approaches to healing.

Dr. Jahan believes her experience of living in diverse cultural milieus enables her to appreciate and integrate multiple perspectives. She has a special interest in groups and organizations; specifically, the ways in which contexts shape identities, values, and behaviors. She has been actively working with Group Relations for over 20 years. She is currently a member of the A.K. Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems, GREX, its West Coast affiliate, the Center for the study of Groups and Social Systems (CSGSS) and a co-creator with Group Relations International. For the past several years, Dr. Jahan has participated as staff member in conferences and workshops designed to support chaplaincy, a professional activity she finds particularly meaningful.

Jack Lampl, B.A.

Jack is an organizational consultant, credentialed mediator and visual artist. He is past president and Fellow of the A K Rice Institute and past president of the Threshold Foundation. He is a board member of the San Diego Psychoanalytic Center and an active community member in APsA. His organizational work combines traditional group relations with creative expression and embodied practices. Hehas been working with Chaplaincy organizations for 12 years and has also consulted to religious and psychoanalytic organizations.

 

Leonard Levis, Ph.D.

Dr. Levis is a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice of psychotherapy and organizational consultation in Berkeley and Oakland California. He was the Clinical Director and Director of Training at the Westcoast Children’s Clinic in Oakland, California for 20 years where he was responsible for the training and clinical services provided by scores of mental health clinicians. He continued to serve as a senior clinical consultant for another twenty years. In addition to his private practice Dr. Levis was an adjunct faculty member of the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy and has consulted and trained chaplains in numerous experiential workshops. He has consulted, trained, and taught courses in clinical psychotherapy, clinical supervision, and chaplaincy practice. Dr. Levis is a Fellow and certified consultant of the AK Rice institute for the Study of Social Systems. He is currently the Chair of the AK Rice Institute Director Development Committee and a member of Grex, the West Coast affiliate of the AK Rice Institute.He has provided organizational consultation to numerous nonprofit and community based organizations over his career including many mental health clinics and faith-based organizations, including the San Francisco Zen Center, SF Bay Area churches, and A La Maison and All Congregations Together in New Orleans. He is the Executive Director and one of the founding members of the Udana institute. Dr. Levis is a member of the California Psychological Association.

 

David Roth, Ph.D.

David Roth is board-certified as a clinical chaplain, pastoral psychotherapist and diplomate in pastoral supervision by the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy and dually certified by the Spiritual Care Association. He was formerly director of spiritual care and clinical supervisor for chaplaincy training at Kaiser Permanente in Northern California. David received a BA in socio-cultural anthropology from Temple University, an MA in religious studies from Providence College, a graduate diploma in spirituality, and a licentiate and PhD in theology from the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. His training includes a residency in clinical pastoral care at Lehigh Valley Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center affiliated with the Penn State University School of Medicine, a year-long traineeship in sex and relationship therapy at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, and a fellowship in psychoanalysis at the NYU Psychoanalytic Institute (now Psychoanalytic Association of New York). David has been a professor of spirituality, pastoral ministry and applied ethics in the graduate schools of several colleges and universities and was the first clinical professor of chaplaincy at Brigham Young University. In 1989, he was elected a fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute. He is the first person from the clinical pastoral field to be admitted to the clinical register of the International Neuropsychoanalysis Society.

 

Jaime Romo, Ed.D.

Dr. Romo is a spiritual counselor at Kaiser Permanente where he assists hospice patients and family members find meaning, purpose and connection in life changing events. He is a Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR) facilitator trainer and educator who helps people see and transform individual and systemic problems.  Previously, his teacher education scholarship focused on multicultural identities in teaching and learning in the San Diego-Tijuana geo-political border region, as well as how institutional and interpersonal trauma impacts mental, physical and behavioral health.

Dr. Romo is a Minister for Healing and Healthy Environments at Pilgrim United Church of Christ in Carlsbad, CA. Dr. Romo is a certified AK Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems consultant and has served in various roles in Group Relations conferences over the past 20 years.

 

Tara L. Victor, PhD, ABPP/CN

Dr. Victor is a board-certified clinical neuropsychologist in private practice in Santa Monica, California with over 20 years of experience in the assessment of brain injury and disease across multiple contexts. She is also a tenured professor in the Department of Psychology at California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH).  Dr. Victor is an Associate & Certified Consultant of the AK Rice Institute for the Study of Social Systems (AKRI) and former board member of Grex, the west coast affiliate of AKRI. She is also a Co-creator with Group Relations International. Dr. Victor has served as adjunct faculty of the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy and has participated in multiple experiential workshops introducing Group Relations to chaplains. She also serves as a Program Co-developer for the annual Group Relations conference series in southern California, Leadership and Creative Expression. Dr. Victor is a member of the American Academy of Clinical Neuropsychology, the International Neuropsychological Society, as well as a Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology. Dr. Victor has recently completed the Clinician’s Program at the C.J. Jung Institute of Los Angeles, and holds a particular interest in the intersection of Group Relations, Interpersonal Neurobiology and Jungian analysis.
